TRANSFER ZONE - 2nd September 2013




  • Gareth Bale has finally completed a world record £86 million move to Real Madrid. The Welsh winger is set to undergo medicals after which he will be unveiled at the Bernabeu today.

  • Arsenal have tabled a £40 million bid for Real Madrid playmaker Mesut Ozil but faces competition from PSG and Manchester United.

  • AC Milan are close to completing the re-signing of Brazilian forward Kaka from Real Madrid on a free transfer.

  • Manchester City have completed the £3.5 million signing of Argentine centre-back Martin Demichelis from Atletico Madrid on a two-year deal.

  •  Everton have had their £12 million bid for Wigan midfielder James McCarthy rejected. The Merseyside club also want Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha on loan as part of the deal for Belgium midfielder Marouane Fellaini.

  • West Ham United are keen to boost their attacking threat with a move for Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella.

  • Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom is close to completing a loan switch to Championship side Wigan.

  • Swansea City are in talks to sign Bolton striker David Ngog.
