Arsenal dislodged Stoke City at the Emirates with a 3-1 victory as the Gunners made it 4 straight wins in the premier league and 7 wins in all competitions so far. In-form midfielder Aaron Ramsey opened scoring with 5 minutes into the game. Stoke City got an equaliser in the 26th minute through Geoff Cameron. Per Mertesacker restored the lead in the 36th minute and Bacary Sagna killed off the game in the 72nd minute with a header off Ozil's free-kick. The win moved Arsenal to the top of the premier league table.

Man of the Match : Mathieu Flamini. His work rate in the Gunners midfield was phenomenal.

It was massacre at Etihad Stadium as Manchester City demolished neighbours Manchester United in this season's first Manchester derby. It was lethargic display from David Moyes' men as they were completely outplayed by their 'noisy neighbours'. A brace from Sergio Aguero, and goals from Yaya Toure and Samir Nasri completed rout. Wayne Rooney pulled one back with a wonderful free-kick in the 87th minute. 

Man of the match : Yaya Toure. The Ivorian was outstanding in the heart of City's midfield
