- Tottenham have forced Real Madrid to wait till the deadline day to
complete the signing of Welsh winger Gareth Bale so as to prevent rival
clubs from strengthening their squads before the transfer window closes
tomorrow night.

Liverpool have agreed a season-long loan deal with Chelsea for
Nigerian winger Victor Moses. The Anfield club are also on the brink on
completing the double signing of PSG defender Mamadou Sakho and
Sporting Lisbon defender Tiago Ilori.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho still wants to sign an A-list striker
before the transfer window closes, with Borussia Dortmund striker Robert
Lewandowski and Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema touted as possible
targets.

Manchester City are on the brink of completing the £4 million signing
of Argentine centre-back Martin Demichelis. The move received a massive
boost after Atletico Madrid completed the £7 million signing of Ajax
defender Toby Alderweireld as a replacement for the Manchester City
target.
- Manchester United are close to signing Belgium midfielder Marouane
Fellaini after Everton asked for a season-long loan move for Jesse
Lindegard.
- Arsenal are still keen on signing Chelsea playmaker Juan Mata but the
Spaniard will have to hand in an official transfer request to leave Stamford
Bridge.
- Cardiff City have completed the £2.1 million signing of Rennes defender Kevin Theophile-Catherine.
- West Bromwich Albion are interested in Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe who is desperate for a first team football.
