EPL FIXTURES, PREVIEWS & PREDICTIONS - 14th September 2013



The Barclays English Premier League returns this weekend after the international break. Below are the matches of the day


Manchester United vs Crystal Palace

Kick off : 12:45pm

Venue : Old Trafford

Referee : Jonathan Moss

Manchester United welcomes Crystal Palace at Old Trafford in this lunch time kick off encounter. The Red Devils will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways after their defeat at Anfield in the hands of Liverpool. David Moyes is expected to give debut to latest signing Marouane Fellaini. Wayne Rooney will be pushing for a starts while Phil Jones is still sidelined.
Crystal Palace will be looking forward to inflicting another pain on a Manchester club after they defeated Manchester City last month. New signings Adrian Mariappa, Cameron Jerome and Barry Bannan are likely to make their debut for the club.

Sunderland vs Arsenal 

Kick off : 3.00pm

Venue : Stadium of Light

Referee : Martin Atkinson

Sunderland will be hoping to get their first win of the season. Paolo Di canio is expected to hand out debut to former Liverpool forward Fabio Borini. 
Club record signing Mesut Ozil is expected to make his premier league debut. The Gunners will be hoping to consolidate their position in the league table with another victory. Tomas Rosicky, Mikel Arteta, Thomas Vermaelen, Yaya Sanogo, Abou Diaby, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are all sidelined.

Stat of the Game : Sunderland are yet to record a victory against Arsenal in the premier league since November 2009.

Everton vs Chelsea

Kick off : 5.30pm

Venue : Goodison Park

Referee : Howard Webb

Everton still waiting for their first win of the season, hosts Chelsea in this late evening kick off at the Goodison Park. New recruits James McCarthy and Gareth Barry are expected to make their debut.
Chelsea will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways after their painful UEFA cup loss to Bayern Munich last month. New signings Samuel Eto'o and Willian are expected to make their debut.

Stat of the Game : Everton are yet to win a game this season after recording three draws in three matches.

Prediction : Everton 1 Chelsea 2
