TRANSFER ZONE - 8th July 2015



  • Manchester United are set to complete the £13 million signing of Torino right-back Matteo Darmian. The Old Trafford club are also on the verge of finalising a deal for Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi. In another development, Turkish club Fenerbahce are stepping up efforts to sign Dutch striker Robin van Persie. 

  • Manchester City are ready to abandon their pursuit of French star, Paul Pogba after Juventus asked the Etihad club to cough out £71 million for the mercurial midfielder. In another development, the club are getting set to launch a third and final bid of £50 million for Raheem Sterling. The England winger has opted out of Liverpool's pre-season tour in order to force a move away from the club.

  • Premier League Champions, Chelsea are on the brink of completing the £6.3 million signing of Fluminense forward Kenedy, after the 19-year-old completed a medical at Chelsea yesterday. In another development, Besiktas are interested in signing Chelsea striker Loic Remy despite the club's resolve that the French forward is not for sale.

  • Arsenal are in a race with Manchester United over the signature of Germany attacking midfielder Mario Gotze after the 23-year-old's agent slammed Bayern Munich Boss Pep Guardiola for not managing the player properly.

  • Atletico Madrid have completed the signing of Argentine and Villareal striker Luciano Vietto on a six-year deal. The Spanish club are also interested in re-signing Chelsea left-back Filipe Luis on loan this summer.

  • West Ham United are set to complete the signing of Juventus defender Angelo Ogbonna.
