TRANSFER ZONE - 22nd July 2015



  • Premier League Champions, Chelsea are willing to smash the British transfer record to sign  Everton defender John Stones. Everton are ready to do business if the Stamford Bridge club are ready to make an offer in excess of £30 million. In another story, Chelsea are closing in on a £14 million move for Ghana defender Baba Rahman who plays for German club FC Augsburg. The 21-year-old defender has been lined up a replacement for Filipe Luis who is set to return to Atletico Madrid.

  • Manchester United are reportedly eyeing Juventus striker Fernando Llorente. Boss, Louis van Gaal is keen to sign a potent striker ahead of the new season. In another development, Manchester United are in talks with French giants PSG over the transfer of Argentine winger Angel Di Maria who is valued at £50 million. The Old Trafford club are also set to finalise a deal for Argentine goalkeeper Sergio Romero.  

  • Arsenal have reportedly made a £32 million bid for French striker Karim Benzema. The bid has been boosted by Real Madrid's intention to offload the 27-year-old striker to free up funds to sign Marco Reus from Borussia Dortmund. In another development, goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is attracting interest from Roma. The Italian club wants a loan-deal for the Poland International since they cannot match Arsenal's valuation of the player.

  • Liverpool are set to announce the £32.5 million signing of Belgian striker Christian Benteke from Aston Villa today. The Anfield club are also lining up a move for PSG defender Lucas Digne who is valued at £9 million.

  • Italian Champions Juventus are lining up a move for Schalke forward Julian Draxler.
