TRANSFER DEADLINE DAY - 1st September 2014



  • Manchester City are set to pull off an audacious deadline day deal to land Colombian striker Radamel Falcao. The Etihad club could complete the deal if they are able to offload injured Spanish striker Alvaro Negredo on loan to Spanish club Valencia.

  • Meanwhile, Arsenal are battling Manchester City for the deadline day signature of Monaco striker Radamel Falcao. Arsene Wenger is confident about landing a striker before midnight. Danny Welback of Manchester United, Wilfried Bonny of Swansea City and Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca are among the list of possible targets. 

  • Chelsea have completed the £10.5 million signing of French striker Loic Remy on a four-year deal. Dutch midfielder Marco van Ginkel has agreed to join AC Milan on a season-long loan deal. Spanish striker, Fernando Torres has joined Italian club AC Milan on a two-year loan deal. 

  • Manchester United have lined up a £25 million deadline day move for Dutch midfielder Kevin Strootman. The Club are still confident about landing Chilean forward Arturo Vidal before the transfer window closes this midnight. The likes of Danny Welbeck, Tom Cleverley, Javier Hernandez, Anderson, Anders Lindegaard and Nick Powell have all been declared surplus to requirement at Old Trafford.

  • Real Madrid are interested in a deadline-day deal for Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez. The Spanish giants are in the market for another forward after failing in their attempt to land Radamel Falcao.

  • QPR Boss Harry Redknapp is planning a move to bring back former Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe back to the premier league. He is also interested in out-of-favour Tottenham duo of Aaron Lennon and Sandro. 

  • Tottenham have lined up a cash-plus deal which will see Andros Townsend and Jay Rodriguez move in the opposite direction. The club have also declared Roberto Soldado and Sandro surplus to requirement.

  • West Ham United have completed the signing of former Arsenal midfielder Alex Song on a season-long loan deal.

  • Monaco striker Radamel Falcao is set to join Real Madrid on a season-long loan deal worth £20 million. The Spanish giants are unable to buy the Colombian forward outright due to the Financial Fair play rules.

  • Arsenal have tabled a £12 million bid for Borussia Dortmund defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos. The Emirates Stadium have been in the market for a central defender to replace departed Belgium defender, Thomas Vermaelen.

  • Liverpool Boss Brendan Rodgers has revealed that the club are through with their summer transfer activities and also denied reports linking the club with a move for Barcelona and Cameroon midfielder, Alex Song.

  • Chelsea have lined up Roma striker Mattia Destro as a possible replacement if Fernando Torres completes a move to AC Milan. The Spanish forward is in talks with the Rossoneri over a switch to San Siro.

  • Bayern Munich are set to complete the £7.5 million signing of Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso. The former Liverpool star is in Munich undergoing a medical.   • Manchester United have announced the £59.7 million record signing of Argentine forward Angel Di Maria on a five-year deal from Real Madrid.

  • Everton have completed the signing of former Chelsea striker Samuel Eto'o on a two-year deal on a free transfer. The Cameroon striker will wear shirt no.5 at the club this season.

  • AC Milan have revealed that they are in talks with Chelsea for the signing of striker Fernando Torres and a loan deal for midfielder Marco Van Ginkel. Enquiries have also been made by the club for Liverpool striker Fabio Borini.

  • Arsenal are preparing a £50 million bid for Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani. Arsene Wenger is in the market for another striker after Olivier Giroud was ruled out for up to four months on the sidelines with an ankle injury. Danny Welbeck of Manchester United is among the list of possible targets.

  • Manchester United are set to make a £20 million move for Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen. Boss, Louis van Gaal is still keen to complete the signing of Dutch midfielder Danny Blind.

  • Real Madrid have asked Manchester United to cough out £75 million in order to land wing wizard Angel Di Maria. The signing of the Argentine forward will smash the British transfer record and take the club's 2014 transfer spending to over £170 million. Boss Louis van Gaal is poised to bring in more new faces to Old Trafford before the end of the transfer window, with Daley Blind of Ajax and Nigel de Jong of AC Milan among possible targets.

  • Juventus have lined up a loan move for Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski. Following the arrival of Alexis Sanchez, the German striker has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates who is also a target for German club Wolfsburg. A move away from the club seems likely.

  • Arsenal are set to re-ignite their interest in Brazilian midfielder Luis Gustavo. Arsene Wenger is keen to boost his defensive midfield options with Mikel Arteta injured and Mathieu Flamini battling with fitness.
