• Manchester United have ended their chase for Chilean forward Arturo Vidal after Juventus slapped a £34 million price tag on the winger. The club is still interested in moves for Argentine forward Angel Di Maria and World cup winning defender Mats Hummels.

• Liverpool are set to complete the £20 million signing of Benfica forward Lazar Markovic after the Serbian completed his medical at Liverpool yesterday.

• Manchester City are very optimistic about completing a deal to bring Porto defender Eliaquim Mangala to the Etihad Stadium.

• West Ham United are set to complete the £12 million signing of Ecuadorian forward Enner Valencia.

• Bayern Munich and World Cup winning midfielder Toni Kroos has confirmed that he is set to join Real Madrid in a deal worth £20 million.

• Liverpool are considering a £44 million move for Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus.

• Manchester United are still hopeful of signing PSG striker Edinson Cavani.

• Newcastle United are set to complete the £5 million signing of Dutch right back Daryl Janmaat.
