TRANSFER ZONE - 22nd July 2014



  • Manchester City are planning to hijack Chelsea's move to re-sign former striker Didier Drogba. The Etihad club is set to make a rival bid to secure the services of the Ivorian skipper. 

  • Chelsea have emerged favourites to sign France and Real Sociedad winger Antoine Griezmann who is also a target for Tottenham and Monaco.

  • Manchester United are set to launch a £17 million bid for Dutch defensive midfielder Daley Blind. New Boss Louis van Gaal is also set to offer £16 million for World cup winning defender Mats Hummels. 

  • Arsenal have denied reports linking the club with a move for AC Milan and Italian striker Mario Balotelli. Reports claims AC Milan are set to sell the fiery striker to Arsenal who is demanding for a £5 million annual-after-tax-pay package to move to the Emirates.  

  • PSG are ready to offer Manchester United target Angel Di Maria an escape route with a loan move to Parc des Princes.

  • La Liga Champions Atletico Madrid are struggling to raise funds to re-sign Chelsea striker Fernando Torres.

  • Manchester City are set to offload either Javi Garcia or Alvaro Negredo to make room for the imminent £32 million arrival of Porto and France defender Eliaquim Mangala.

  • Chelsea target Tiago Mendes has signed a new two-year deal with Atletico Madrid.

  • Liverpool are keeping tabs on Real Madrid duo Karim Benzema and Isco, but the Anfield club believes a loan move for Isco remains a more realistic bargain.

  • Former Chelsea and France winger Florent Malouda is a target for Premier league returnee club Leicester City.
