- Chelsea are set to hijack Manchester United's bid for Barcelona forward Pedro Rodriguez. The Club are in talks with Lyon over the signing of £21 million-rated forward Alexandre Lacazette. In a related development, Everton have rejected Chelsea's £30 million bid for England defender, John Stones, holding out for £40 million. Athletico Madrid winger, Antoine Griezmann has also been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge. Club owner Roman Abramovic have sanctioned three new signings for the club after a sloppy start to the season. In other news, Chelsea have unveiled new signing Baba Rahman, who is expected to make his debut this weekend at the Hawthorns against West Bromwich Albion. The 21-year-old Ghanaian will wear shirt no. 17 at the club this season.
- Arsenal have been asked to cough out £35 million for PSG striker Edinson Cavani. The Gunners are also eyeing teammate and Argentine forward Ezequiel Lavezzi. Reports from Spain suggest that Real Madrid have accepted Arsenal's bid for Karim Benzema.
- Manchester United have reportedly launched an audacious £60 million bid for Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller. The Old Trafford club are working hard to complete the signing of Pedro Rodriguez from Barcelona with Chelsea lurking in the shadows.
- Manchester City are set to complete an £88 million double swoop for Wolfsburg playmaker, Kevin De Bruyne and Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi. The Argentine defender, Nicolas Otamendi has arrived Manchester for a medical ahead of a possible switch.
- West Brom have rejected Tottenham's £18 million bid for England forward Saido Berahino. The White Hart Lane club have been asked to cough out £25 million for the 22-year-old attacker.
- Real Madrid have completed the signing of Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovacic on a six-year-deal from Inter Milan.
