TRANSFER ZONE - 17th June 2015




  • Chelsea's transfer plan to swap goalkeeper Petr Cech with winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been rejected by Arsenal. Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is determined not to lose the 33-year-old goalkeeper to London-rivals Arsenal, but is keen on the England midfielder. The Stamford Bridge club have also lined up Stoke City goalkeeper Asmir Begovic as a possible replacement for Petr Cech. In another development, Chelsea are ahead in the race to sign Real Madrid defender, Raphael Varane.

  • Manchester City have lined up a move for Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph. The Etihad club are in search for English midfielders to meet up European requirements. In another development, Bosnian forward, Edin Dzeko has rejected a cash-plus-player deal which will see him and Liverpool's Raheem Sterling move in opposite direction.

  • Liverpool are set to complete a double swoop for defenders, Southampton's Nathaniel Clyne and Charlton's teenager, Joe Gomez. Boss Brendan Rodgers is keen to replace released England right back, Glen Johnson.

  • Manchester United are still confident about signing Borussia Dortmund defender, Mats Hummels this summer despite the club's impending signing of Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi. The Old Trafford club are also considering a move for Monaco's right back Fabinho. 

  • Arsenal have concluded plans to offload striker Lukas Podolski and full-back Carl Jenkinson this summer. Galatasaray are set to complete the signing of the 30-year-old German, while Sunderland are on the verge of finalising a loan deal for Carl Jenkinson.

  • Italian Champions, Juventus are preparing to sell star midfielder Paul Pogba to the highest bidder between Manchester City, Manchester United or Chelsea. Manchester City Boss Manuel Pellegrini has already lined a £60 million move for the French star. Barcelona and Real Madrid have also been heavily linked with a move for the 22-year-old. 

  • Real Madrid are set to hijack Manchester United's move Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi. New Boss Rafa Benitez is keen to boost his defensive options ahead of next season.
