TRANSFER ZONE - 19th January 2015
- Manchester United are set to launch an audacious £30 million bid for PSG and Brazilian defender Marquinhos. The Old Trafford club are still interested in key targets of German trio : Marco Reus, Ilkay Gundogan and Mats Hummels.
- Real Madrid have lined up a £78 million swoop for Juventus and France star Paul Pogba. The move will blow away the interests from Manchester United and Chelsea on the French midfielder.
- Liverpool are weighing up a £40 million summer bid for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema. The Spanish giants intends to use the proceeds from the sale for a move for PSG and Uruguyan forward Edinson Cavani who has fallen out with his manager Laurent Blanc.
- Manchester United are also plotting a shocking world record bid of £100 million for Real Madrid and Welsh winger Gareth Bale. The deal will see in-form goalkeeper David De Gea move in the opposite direction. In a related development, the Red Devils are hoping to bring Luka Modric back to the Premier League. The Croatian midfielder who has fallen down the pecking order this season at the Bernabeu, is in search of first team football.
- French giants PSG are plotting a summer move for Manchester City and Ivorian midfielder Yaya Toure. The future of the 31 year-old midfielder was thrown into doubt after an interview he granted to CNN recently.
- Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed of his intention to sign a new centre-back before the end of the January transfer window. The French manager has been advised to move for the Bender twins Sven and Lars, in order to mount a serious title challenge this season.
- Everton are willing to allow Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o to join Italian club Sampdoria this transfer window in order to save £6 million in wages for the former Chelsea and Barcelona forward.
- Real Sociedad manager David Moyes is interested in a loan move for Arsenal forward Joel Campbell. The Scot is keen to boost his attacking options ahead of the second half of the La Liga season.
- Chelsea midfielder Mohammed Salah is set to complete a move to Italian club Roma. The Egyptian winger is ready to quit Stamford Bridge in search of regular first team action.
