TRANSFER ZONE - 30th January 2015



  • Chelsea are set to complete the £26.8 million signing of Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado. Boss Jose Mourinho is determined to finalise the deal today and register the Colombian forward before Saturday's clash with Manchester City at Stamford Bridge. The deal is to be funded with proceeds from the sale of German winger, Andre Schurrle who is set to have a medical with German club Wolfsburg today. The deal is worth £27 million. In a related development, The Blues are more likely to ship out Egyptian winger Mohammed Salah out on loan for the rest of the season rather than an outright sale. 

  • Argentine winger Angel Di Maria has admitted that he regrets joining Manchester United. The star forward is finding life difficult under manager Louis van Gaal. Meanwhile, the Old Trafford Club is eager to complete the £37.3 million signing of German defender Mats Hummels before the end of the January transfer window. In a similar development, the Club have been alerted after French star midfielder Paul Pogba revealed of his intention to quit Juventus soon. Moreso, Manchester United are set to make in-form goalkeeper David De Gea, the best-paid goalkeeper in the premier league in order to keep him away from the clutches of Real Madrid.

  • Liverpool are plotting a move for Burnley striker Danny Ings. The deal will see the 22 year-old forward loaned back to Burnley until the end of the season. Meanwhile the Anfield Club are also considering summer moves for Hannover pair of Lars Stindl and Leonardo Bittencourt. In another development, the agent of striker Mario Balotelli has revealed that the fiery Italian will only quit Liverpool for £45 million. 

  • West Ham United have launched an £8 million bid for Swansea striker Bafetimbi Gomis. The Upton Park club are eager to boost their attacking lines in their bid for a top six finish this season.

  • Chelsea are ready to hijack Manchester United record bid for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba. Reports suggest that the Old Trafford club have tabled a club record £61 million bid for the France international. Chelsea on the other hand are set to offer a £40 million plus two fringe players for the 21-year old star. In a related development, the Stamford Bridge club have also made a £16 million move for Shaktar Donetsk midfielder Douglas Costa, while talks are still in progress for the signing of Fiorentina winger, Juan Cuadrado valued at £27 million, Boss, Jose Mourinho wants quality replacements for Andre Schurrle and Mohammed Salah who are on the brink of leaving the club.   

  • Arsenal have completed the signing of Legia Warsaw starlet, Krystian Bielik. The Club have also made a bid to sign Villareal defender Gabriel Paulista. The deal for the Brazilian centre-back is expected to be finalised before the end of the January transfer window. Arsene Wenger have also called for the scrapping of work permits for foreign players as such permit hindered the club from signing Angel Di Maria.

  • Manchester United in-form goalkeeper David de Gea has thrown his future with the club into great doubt after the Spaniard refused to rule out a move to Real Madrid. The Old Trafford club is also interested in signing Villareal centre-back and Arsenal target Gabriel Paulista.

  • Real Madrid have won the race for the signing of Cruzeiro midfielder and Arsenal target Lucas Silva. The Spanish giants have also completed the £2.3 million signing of Norwegian starlet Martin Odegaard. The 16-year old attacking midfielder has been unveiled at the Santiago Bernabeu.

  • Former Chelsea and Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o is in Italy for a medical with Sampdoria ahead of a possible switch from Everton. The Cameroon forward is poised to leave Goodison Park after just five months.

  • Chelsea are set to launch a £26.8 million bid for Fiorentina winger and Manchester United target Juan Cuadrado. The Stamford Bridge club expect the sale of winger Andre Schurrle and Egyptian forward Mohammed Salah this transfer window. Wolfsburg have offered £23 million for the services of the German forward but Jose Mourinho is holding out for £30 million. The Blues have lined up Juan Cuadrado, a Colombian star, as a possible replacement. 

  • Manchester United have slapped a £50 million price tag on in-form goalkeeper David De Gea who is a target for Real Madrid. The Old Trafford Club have also lined up a £15 million move to bring back Barcelona and Spanish defender Gerard Pique back to the club. In a related development, the club have refuted reports linking them with moves for Valencia centre-back Nicolas Otamendi and Villareal defender Gabriel Paulista.

  • Arsenal are weighing up a £9 million move for Newcastle and Ivorian defensive midfielder Cheick Tiote. The Gunners have completed the signing of Swedish starlet Kristopher de Graca. The 17-year old defender is expected to join the Club's U-18 squad. The Club is also in a race with Manchester United, Liverpool and PSG for the signature of Argentine striker Paulo Dybala. Meanwhile, Boss Arsene Wenger has denied reports linking the club with a move for Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira.

  • Manchester City have lined up a summer move for Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool target Marco Reus. The Borussia Dortmund superstar has a £20 million release clause in his contract. Boss Manuel Pellegrini intends to make the German midfielder one of the best-paid stars at the Club.

  • Aston Villa Manager Paul Lambert has insisted that striker Christian Benteke will not be sold this transfer window despite the Belgian's struggle to find the net this season.

  • Newcastle United are considering a move for Hamburg striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga. West Brom, Hull City and Swansea City are all interested in the 23-year old forward.

  • Manchester United are set to launch an audacious £30 million bid for PSG and Brazilian defender Marquinhos. The Old Trafford club are still interested in key targets of German trio : Marco Reus, Ilkay Gundogan and Mats Hummels.

  • Real Madrid have lined up a £78 million swoop for Juventus and France star Paul Pogba. The move will blow away the interests from Manchester United and Chelsea on the French midfielder. 

  • Liverpool are weighing up a £40 million summer bid for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema. The Spanish giants intends to use the proceeds from the sale for a move for PSG and Uruguyan forward Edinson Cavani who has fallen out with his manager Laurent Blanc.

  • Manchester United are also plotting a shocking world record bid of £100 million for Real Madrid and Welsh winger Gareth Bale. The deal will see in-form goalkeeper David De Gea move in the opposite direction. In a related development, the Red Devils are hoping to bring Luka Modric back to the Premier League. The Croatian midfielder who has fallen down the pecking order this season at the Bernabeu, is in search of first team football.

  • French giants PSG are plotting a summer move for Manchester City and Ivorian midfielder Yaya Toure. The future of the 31 year-old midfielder was thrown into doubt after an interview he granted to CNN recently.  

  • Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed of his intention to sign a new centre-back before the end of the January transfer window. The French manager has been advised to move for the Bender twins Sven and Lars, in order to mount a serious title challenge this season.

  • Everton are willing to allow Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o to join Italian club Sampdoria this transfer window in order to save £6 million in wages for the former Chelsea and Barcelona forward.

  • Real Sociedad manager David Moyes is interested in a loan move for Arsenal forward Joel Campbell. The Scot is keen to boost his attacking options ahead of the second half of the La Liga season.

  • Manchester City have completed the £25 million signing of Ivorian striker Wilfried Bony from Swansea City on a four-year deal. The 26-year old forward will wear shirt no. 14 this season. The Etihad Stadium Club have also lined up a £20 move for yet another striker, Southampton's Jay Rodriguez.

  • Arsenal have agreed a fee with Legia Warsaw for the transfer of midfielder Krystian Bielik. Reports suggest that a bid of £3 million has been accepted by the Polish club.  Club Boss, Arsene Wenger is also weighing up a £12 million bid for Genoa goalkeeper Marria Perin,

  • Chelsea are waiting to capitalise on Barcelona's chaos to land Lionel Messi. Recent developments have left the Argentine Superstar considering his future at the Nou Camp. French club PSG are also interested in the 27-year old Superstar.

  • Manchester United have announced the signing of former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes on an 18-month deal. The club boss, Louis Van Gaal insists the 32-year old goalkeeper remains a back-up to David de Gea.
