  • The Draw for this season's UEFA Champions League was held yesterday in Monaco, France. Here are the Teams and their Groups.

TRANSFER ZONE - 29th August 2014


  • Monaco striker Radamel Falcao is set to join Real Madrid on a season-long loan deal worth £20 million. The Spanish giants are unable to buy the Colombian forward outright due to the Financial Fair play rules.

  • Arsenal have tabled a £12 million bid for Borussia Dortmund defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos. The Emirates Stadium have been in the market for a central defender to replace departed Belgium defender, Thomas Vermaelen.

  • Liverpool Boss Brendan Rodgers has revealed that the club are through with their summer transfer activities and also denied reports linking the club with a move for Barcelona and Cameroon midfielder, Alex Song.

  • Chelsea have lined up Roma striker Mattia Destro as a possible replacement if Fernando Torres completes a move to AC Milan. The Spanish forward is in talks with the Rossoneri over a switch to San Siro.

  • Bayern Munich are set to complete the £7.5 million signing of Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso. The former Liverpool star is in Munich undergoing a medical. The German champions have also agreed a transfer fee with Roma for Moroccan defender Mehdi Benatia, who is expected to sign a five-year deal at Allianz Arena.

  • Juventus and Valencia are battling for the signature of Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.

  • Arsenal are closing in on PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

  • Tottenham have also joined the race for the signature of another Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck.

  • Crystal Palace have re-signed Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha on a season-long loan deal.

TRANSFER ZONE - 27th August 2014



  • Manchester United have announced the £59.7 million record signing of Argentine forward Angel Di Maria on a five-year deal from Real Madrid.

  • Everton have completed the signing of former Chelsea striker Samuel Eto'o on a two-year deal on a free transfer. The Cameroon striker will wear shirt no.5 at the club this season.

  • AC Milan have revealed that they are in talks with Chelsea for the signing of striker Fernando Torres and a loan deal for midfielder Marco Van Ginkel. Enquiries have also been made by the club for Liverpool striker Fabio Borini.

  • Arsenal are preparing a £50 million bid for Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani. Arsene Wenger is in the market for another striker after Olivier Giroud was ruled out for up to four months on the sidelines with an ankle injury. Danny Welbeck of Manchester United is among the list of possible targets.

  • Manchester United are set to make a £20 million move for Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen. Boss, Louis van Gaal is still keen to complete the signing of Dutch midfielder Danny Blind.

  • Tottenham are closing in on the signing of Sevilla defender Federico Fazio.

  • Real Madrid have asked Manchester United to cough out £75 million in order to land wing wizard Angel Di Maria. The signing of the Argentine forward will smash the British transfer record and take the club's 2014 transfer spending to over £170 million. Boss Louis van Gaal is poised to bring in more new faces to Old Trafford before the end of the transfer window, with Daley Blind of Ajax and Nigel de Jong of AC Milan among possible targets.

  • Juventus have lined up a loan move for Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski. Following the arrival of Alexis Sanchez, the German striker has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates who is also a target for German club Wolfsburg. A move away from the club seems likely.

  • Arsenal are set to re-ignite their interest in Brazilian midfielder Luis Gustavo. Arsene Wenger is keen to boost his defensive midfield options with Mikel Arteta injured and Mathieu Flamini battling with fitness. 

  • Everton are considering moves for former Chelsea striker Samuel Eto'o and Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck to boost the club's attacking options.

  • AC Milan have lined up a loan move for Chelsea striker Fernando Torres as a replacement for outgoing striker Mario Balotelli.

  • Hull City have agreed in principle with Tottenham for the transfer of defender Michael Dawson.

  • Manchester United and PSG are still in the battle for the £50 million signature of Real Madrid forward Angel Di Maria. Boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that the Argentine winger has asked to leave the club.

  • Germany World cup winning midfielder Sami Khedira has rejected a new contract at Real Madrid thus fueling speculations of a move to Arsenal.

  • Arsenal are eyeing West Ham defender, Winston Reid. Arsene Wenger is keen to boost his defensive options before the end of the transfer window. 

  • West Ham United are interested in a loan move for Atletico Madrid defender Toby Alderweireld.

  • Tottenham are ready for a £24 million double swoop for Manchester United duo of Javier Hernandez and Marouane Fellaini.

  • Liverpool are still hopeful of completing a deal to bring either Colombian striker Radamel Falcao or Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani to Anfield before the end of the transfer window.
