Chelsea went top of the league table after a hard-fought victory over a resilient Aston Villa side last night at Stamford Bridge.
Antonio Luna scored an own goal off Eden Hazard's brilliant work. Christian Benteke increased his goal tally with an equalizer on the stroke of half-time. Branislav Ivanovic scored with a thumping header to give Chelsea victory midway through the second half.
Controversy of the night : John Terry appeared to have handled the ball in the box during the stoppage time though no penalty was awarded.
Man of the Match : Eden Hazard, a constant threat to Villa with his runs, dribbles and incisive passes.
