TRANSFER ZONE - January 15th 2016




  • Real Madrid are plotting a £250 million mega raid on the Premier League. The Spanish giants have been handed a two-window transfer ban by FIFA for transfer irregularities. The Santiago Bernabeu club are now set to raid Premier League stars before the ban kicks in. Chelsea star Eden Hazard, Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero and Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea are among names on the wish list. Others are Juventus' Paul Pogba and Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski. 

  • Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Egyptian midfielder Mohammed Elneny from Basel on a four-and-a-half year deal. In a similar development, the Emirates Stadium club are considering a move for Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama. Club boss Arsene Wenger is also looking to boost his striking options with moves for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Watford's Odion Ighalo. 

  • Chelsea are reportedly in talks with Brazilian club Corinthians over the signing of Alexandre Pato. The 26-year old forward is currently valued at £10 million and is eligible to play in the Champions league if the move goes through. In another development, Chelsea have been linked with a move for PSG forward Ezequiel Lavezzi. The 30-year old Argentine has been a fringe player for PSG this season and would be out of contract this summer.  

  • Manchester United are ready to launch a £40 million move for Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos. In another development, Manchester United's bid to sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid has been dealt a huge blow with the transfer ban handed to the Spanish club. 

  • Newcastle United are considering a move for Tottenham winger Andros Townsend.
