- Arsenal are on the verge of completing a £20 million shock move for Leicester and England striker Jamie Vardy. Reports suggest that the Gunners triggered the release clause of the 29-year old with a £22 million bid. The Emirates Club are expected to complete the signing within the next 24 hours. In a related development, Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has also revealed that Jamie Vardy wants to join the club. It is being reported that the Gunners intend to offer the striker £120,000-a-week-wage.
- Manchester United have lined up a £32 million move for Villareal sensational defender Eric Bailly. New Boss Jose Mourinho hopes to begin a rebuilding process at Old Trafford. In a similar development, the Old Trafford club are set to complete the signing of Sweden star Zlatan Ibrahimovic this week. Reports claim that the 34-year old forward has agreed personal terms to join the club. In another development, Manchester United and Manchester City are in a battle for the signature of Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
