- Arsenal have lined up PSG and Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani as an alternative should the club fail in their bid to land Leicester City hitman Jamie Vardy. In a similar development, the club are also weighing up a £15 million move for Albania striker Elseid Hysaj. In other news, Arsenal are ready to loan Poland goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny back to Roma next season.
- Manchester United have lined up a £22 million bid for Leicester City and France midfielder N'Golo Kante. New Boss Jose Mourinho who has been reportedly handed a £200 million transfer war chest, has completed his first signing with the £30 million capture of Villareal defender Eric Bailly on a four-year deal. The Portuguese tactician has been linked with a move for Inter Milan defender Joao Miranda. In other news, the release clause of David de Gea is set to expire in the next few days, with Real Madrid running out of time to sign the Spanish goalkeeper. Meanwhile, Barcelona are set to beat Manchester United in the race to sign Valencia midfielder Andre Gomes.
