• Barcelona have opened talks with Liverpool over the transfer of Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez. The Catalan giants have tabled an initial bid of £72 million while Liverpool are holding out for the £80 million valuation.

• Manchester United have been asked to cough out £37 million for Sporting Lisbon defensive midfielder William Carvalho.

• Arsenal are confident about completing the £8 million move for French striker Loic Remy. The club are also ready to reignite their interest in Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, who is also a top target for Liverpool.

• Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo is interested in a move back to Spain as Atletico Madrid prepare to replace departed striker Diego Costa.

• Chilean and Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez is interested in a move to Arsenal.

• Manchester United have also launched a £32 million bid for Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado.

• Liverpool are closing in on a move for Swiss international Xherdan Shaqiri.

• Real Madrid are set to complete the £20 million signing of Bayern Munich midfielder and Manchester United target Toni Kroos.

• Juventus have lined up an £8 million move for Manchester City defender Matija Nastasic.

• Arsenal and Everton are battling for the signature of former Chelsea striker Samuel Eto'o.

• Chelsea are still in talks with Atletico Madrid over a move for Brazilian defender Filipe Luis.
