  • Liverpool are convinced that star striker Luis Suarez will not leave the club despite reported interests from Barcelona and Real Madrid. Barcelona hope to include Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez as part of the deal to land the Uruguayan hitman.

  •  Manchester United are set to re-ignite their interest in Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera.The club have also returned with an improved £34 million bid to land Southampton left-back Luke Shaw, after their initial £27 million bid was rejected.

The 2014 FIFA World cup kicked off last night in Sao Paulo with the host nation Brazil squaring against Croatia. It was a tension-soaked encounter after the Selecao went behind 11 minutes into the game,courtesy of an own by Marcelo. Man-of-the-moment Neymar got a brace : an equaliser on the 29th minute and converting a penalty on the 71st minute. Oscar secured the three maximum point with strike at the death.
